There are 15 inspiring tales to get stuck into, each marking one of the Festival’s 15 years at the heart of Mancunian life. With this in mind, the images illustrating each story are quite nostalgic, a nod to when the festival started and the changes the city has seen over the years.
Why not help us celebrate this special birthday by adding your food and drink story to our foodie chorus?
What you write doesn’t have to be complicated or long. It could just be a description of an aroma, eating outside at sunset, your gran’s steak and kidney pudding or where you found your favourite teapot.
All you have to do is tell us your food and drink story in under 100 words. Once we have the submissions in, we’re going to choose the best 10 stories and add them to this site, with their own special illustrations.
This is a unique opportunity for the city’s food fans - and we hope you’ll want to get involved.
Post your story of no more than 100 words on the MFDF facebook page. Give it a title then add your name and where you live. There’s not long to go until the Festival starts on 21 Sep – so get scribbling!
